Website launched

Website of Tamil Nadu State Land Use Board was launched by Vice-Chairman, State Planning Commission on Monday.

An official release said that the website was designed and hosted with the help of NIC, Tamil Nadu. The soil and watershed atlas prepared by the Agricultural Engineering Department was also hosted in the website.

The Board was established in 1975 and six years later the government transferred the functions of the Board to the State Planning Commission. It was done with a view to ensuring that the State Planning Commission could manage it well and that it had access with the government of India, Universities in the State and other government departments, which were implementing land and water resources development programme, the release said, adding that its annual board meeting was also conducted on Monday.
