BANGALORE: Three women impostors, who approached an employee of a Government Hospital for medical assistance on Monday morning, relieved her of her gold chain worth about Rs. 20,000 on Airport Road. The Airport Police said that Jayamma, a resident of Maternity Hospital Quarters in Austin Town, was walking on the footpath near Diamond District when two of the accused posed as relatives of a patient, who was lying on the footpath.Jayamma who is attached to the Government Hospital near Kodihalli on Airport Road, checked the heart beat and pulse rate of the “patient,” and asked them to come to the hospital. “Only when I reached the hospital that I realised that the trio had snatched my chain,” Jayamma said in her complaint. BurgledA provision store on Hegde Nagar Road in Sampigehalli was burgled with burglars looting Rs. 45,000 in cash, on Sunday night. The Sampigehalli police said that the accused gained entry into the store by cutting the window grills. ATM damagedUnidentified persons attempted to rob cash from the State Bank of Mysore’s ATM centre on the Mathikere Main Road in the early hours of Monday. The SBM Mathikere branch manager Basavarajappa said that the accused attempted to dismantle the ATM machine and also tried to disconnect CCTV camera. However, they fled the scene after they failed in their attempt. The Yeshwanthpur police have registered a case. ArrestedIn different cases, Rajaji Nagar and Mahadevapura police have arrested six persons on charges of theft and have seized stolen goods worth over Rs. 2 lakh. Rajaji Nagar police arrested Srinivas (20), a resident of Manjunatha Nagar, and recovered stolen goods worth Rs. 1 lakh from him. The accused had allegedly committed thefts at several houses in Rajaji Nagar and Mahalakshmi Layout. The Mahadevapura police nabbed five persons and recovered worth Rs. 1 lakh goods from them. The accused have been identified as M. Chetan (25) of K.R. Puram, and Keerthi Sagar (22), Anil Kumar (22), Murali (19) and Devaraj (20), all residents of Kolar.
