Photo exhibition on air pollution

SHIMOGA: An exhibition of photographs on the theme air pollution was organised by the Regional Transport Office in association with the Taluk Photographers’ Association, Video Photographers’ Association and Shimoga Round Table at Ambedkar Bhavan here on Tuesday.

As many as 300 photographs taken by 15 photographers were displayed at the exhibition.

Deputy Commissioner for Transport Maruti V. Sambrani, who inaugurated the exhibition, emphasised the need for checking air pollution as it had become a major health hazard.

Regional Transport Officer C. Mallikarjun, president of the Shimoga Round Table Adarsh and president of the Taluk Photographers’ Association Sridhar were present.
