Girl run over by school bus

NEW DELHI: A Class I girl student was run over by her school bus in Model Town here on Monday. The driver has been arrested.

The tragic mishap took place when the bus dropped six-year-old Harsha near the cyber café of her father Rajiv Malik at Vijay Nagar. She had barely got off when the bus started moving again. Her leg came under the wheels. Mr. Malik, who was standing nearby waiting for his only child, yelled at the driver to reverse. But the bus ran over her. The victim, who studied in a school in Ashok Vihar Phase-I, was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead. The police have registered a case and arrested Sukhdev, who had fled from the spot. The private bus has been attached to the school for the past four years.
