Students paint, book tickets to Germany

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Jessin Kabeer, a Plus Two student of Government Cotton Hill GHS has won an all-expenses paid trip to Germany after winning the painting competition organised by Goethe Zentrum Trivandrum.

Gopika J. of Chinmaya Vidyalaya and Nikita Jayakumar of Nirmala Bhavan bagged the second and third prizes respectively in the senior category of the competition based on the subject ‘Germany in my mind.’ Krishna P.S. and Amina S. have won the consolation prizes.

Mary Prathana Tittu of St. Thomas Residential School bagged the first prize in the junior category while Anjali Nair of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya and Yadu Krishnan S. of ARR Public School won the second and third prizes respectively. Aravind Lal of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan won the consolation prize.

Malavika Menon and Jyothi D. of Thrissur Vimala College emerged winners at the State-level quiz competition for college students organised by Goethe Zentrum on November 25.

The first prize winners of the quiz competition have won a one month all-paid trip to Germany and a free German course of 15 weeks.

Antony Augustine and Anoob Razak of Government Medical College Thiruvananthapuram who bagged the second prize have won a cash prize of Rs.3,001 and a German course while Ram V. Nampoothiri and Antony Stanley of Medical College Thiruvananthapuram have won Rs.2,001 and concession rate for German course after bagging the third prize at the quiz competition.

The Thiruvananthapuram Goethe Zentrum Max Muller Bhavan will be inaugurated by Governor R.S. Gavai on November 28. For details contact Syed Ibrahim- 9447011496.
