MLA lauds credit incentive scheme for farmers

ADILABAD: Adilabad legislator C. Ramchander Reddy on Wednesday said, the credit incentive scheme was an example of the government’s concern for the farming community in the State. He said the scheme envisages reimbursement of Rs. 5,000 as incentive to farmers who paid their loans promptly.

Handing over cheques under the scheme to farmers of Adilabad mandal here, Mr. Ramchander Reddy spoke at length about the welfare programmes of the government. He said the government had launched a number of schemes for the common man. A total of 2,958 farmers were given cheques worth Rs. 5,000 under the scheme amunting to Rs. 1.5 crore through various banks in Adilabad mandal.
