Bags first prize in elocution contest

Kakinada: V.S Lakshmi Women’s Degree College student P Kasi Annapoorna won the district – level first prize in elocution competition conducted as part of the `Yuvajana Dinotsavam’ celebrations recently.

The topic was `Role of youth in transforming Indian into a developed country’. S Sameeraja bagged the third prize in classical music category.

Both of them have thus got the opportunity to participate in the State-level competitions to be conducted shortly.

The district – level competitions were organized on Tuesday. College principal V Sandhya, vice-principal M Padmaja and director DJPN Reddy congratulated the girls for their achievements.
