Maulana Azad’s Quranic commentary hailed

Hyderabad: Tarjuman-ul-Quran, the commentary on Quran by Maulana Azad, is an earnest attempt in elucidating the message. “It is a classic work in Urdu and Azad’s outstanding contribution to Islamic learning,” said Wahab Qaisar, Controller of Examinations, Maulana Azad National Urdu University.

He was delivering a lecture on Maulana Azad’s monumental work as part of the 388th Islamic lecture series organised by Jamia Masjid Aliya, Gunfoundry, recently. Ghulam Yazdani, senior advocate, welcomed the gathering. on the occasion.

The commentary was a masterpiece in that it explained in detail the finer points of the scripture. What made it unique was the lucid style adopted in explaining the holy book.
