Road widening: SCR GM meets GHMC chief

HYDERABAD: The SCR General Manager, H.K. Padhee and GHMC Commissioner S.P. Singh met up at the Rail Nilayam on Wednesday evening in light of the High Court directions on permitting road widening on the Sangeet junction to Tarnaka.

Officials said both had a cordial meeting and discussed about the next probable steps to be taken for the work. Following their meeting, it was decided that the railway engineers would be coming to the municipal corporation office tomorrow to chalk out the action plan.

The HC had asked SCR to hand over the land for widening within a week since the compensation amount of Rs. 45 crore was paid and the land acquisition notice issued by the Collector was withdrawn by the government.
