Deshmukh rushes to Mumbai

Thiruvananthapuram: Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasarao Deshmukh, who was here on a private visit, left by flight for Mumbai early on Thursday after he was alerted of the suspected terrorist shootings and arson attacks in the metropolis. Mr. Deshmukh had arrived in the city around 7 p.m. He attended a function at the Mascot Hotel and later retired for the night at the Leela Kempenski Hotel at Kovalam. — Staff Reporter
