SCR in quarterfinal league

GURGAON: Ashish Minz and Prabhakar Singh scored a brace each as South Central Railway (SCR) registered a thumping 5-0 win over Indian Bank to qualify for the quarterfinal league of the 19th Lal Bahadur Shastri hockey tournament here on Thursday. Mohammad Aleem netted the other goal.

Later, in the first quarterfinal league encounter, skipper Ajitesh Rai led Punjab National Bank to a comprehensive 5-1 victory over CRPF with two goals. Jalvinder Singh, Kulwant Singh and Banwali were the other scorers for the winning team. Rajesh Kindo pulled one back. — Sports Reporter
