Stars return to Delhi team

NEW DELHI: The Delhi team got a major boost as Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli and Ishant Sharma made a comeback to side for the Ranji Trophy super league cricket match against Orissa starting at the Roshanara Club ground here on Saturday.

The terror attacks in Mumbai prompted the cancellation of the remainder of the one-day series between India and England and this proved to a blessing in disguise for defending champion Delhi, which is struggling to avoid relegation after managing just six points from four matches.

The team: Virender Sehwag (Capt.), Gautam Gambhir, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Mithun Manhas, Aakash Chopra, Rajat Bhatia, Puneet Bisht, Chetanya Nanda, Pradeep Sangwan, Ishant Sharma, Sumit Narwal, Yogesh Nagar, Gaurav Chhabra, Parvinder Awana.
