Offenders introduce abusive words
Defaced sites restored by experts
HYDERABAD: Unidentified cyber offenders defaced the picture of Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy figuring in the home page of the State government’s portal ( www.aponline.gov.in) as also the descriptive lines underneath, late on Wednesday night when high voltage drama was taking place in Mumbai.
The offenders introduced abusive words against the Chief Minister in place of the descriptive lines. The picture of the Chief Minister and Ministers figure in home page under the caption “Council of Ministers”.
The offenders also defaced brief news items put on the website, specifying the day’s announcements and developmental initiatives taken by the government, replacing them with their address “Zombie KSA”, a Pakistan hacker group.
All the defaced sites, however, were restored to their original shape by these experts a little after office hours on Wednesday, said a senior official in the Information Technology & Communications department.
