KOLKATA: Sunil Kumar Sipaeya and Rupesh Roy won the doubles title of the $15,000 ITF men’s futures here at the JMTA Complex on Friday. The Sipaeya-Roy combine downed Nathan Thompson (USA) and David Savic (Serbia) 7-6(5), 6-0. India’s lone hope in the singles, Vishnu Vardhan, had an unfortunate exit as he was forced to retire, trailing 0-3, owing to severe back pain, in his semifinal against top seeded Alexander Satschko.
