PENUGONDA (WEST GODAVARI DIST): P. Rajendra Karmarkar, Special Officer, Andhra University PG Centre at Kakinada, on Friday said globalisation had changed the direction of English language from Humanities to Science and Technology and Business Management in the last two decades. He was delivering the inaugural address at a two-day national seminar on “Teaching of spoken English in rural colleges” held at SVKP & Dr. K.S. Raju Arts and Science College here under the aegis of University Grants Commission. Aadikavi Nannayya University Vice-Chancellor K. Nirupa Rani highlighted the need to focus on cultural and moral education in colleges apart from the communication skills in English. D.J.P.N.
