Sports selection

KRISHNAGIRI: The district-level sports selection under the PICA scheme for 2008-09 will be held at the Krishnagiri Sports Stadium on December 3.

The participants should be aged below 16 as on December 31, 2008. The participants will be selected under three groups: Group 1 – Bow and Arrow, Kabbadi and Kho-Kho; Group 2 – Foot Ball (Only boys), Volleyball, Weightlifting, Tug of War (Only boys) and Group 3 – Hurdles and Hockey.

For selection under the group games, the full team should participate. Interesting boys and girls should bring the age proof certificate from the headmasters of the schools concerned to the stadium at 7 a.m. on that day, a release from the Collectorate said.
