Hubli-Dharwad
DHARWAD: The former principal of Karnatak Science College Rajashekhar Bhoosanurmath has said that a teacher who fails to keep himself abreast of latest developments and who is not studious will not be able to do justice to his profession. Inaugurating “Srujan-08”, science exhibition organised by the Rashtrothana Vidya Kendra near Dharwad recently, Dr. Bhoosanurmath called upon teachers to keep updating their knowledge base regularly. He also asked them to provide education with a vision so that students would be able to carve out a better future for themselves. He said problems were part and parcel of life and asked students not to get disheartened. “Every problem has a solution. Every problem should be treated as an opportunity created by the almighty to make our lives better,” he said. Hidden talent
Dr. Bhoosanurmath said events such as science exhibitions and extracurricular activities were helpful in bringing out the hidden talent among children. “If teachers identify such talent and nurture them, then the student may one day become a great personality,” he said. OpportunitiesPresiding over the function, member of the management board of the Rashtrothana Parishat A.G.K. Nayak said that students had a lot of opportunities. They only had to identify which one suits them, he said. Principal Mrudula Dhuve was among those present. Students of the kendra presented several exhibits based on various principles of science at the exhibition. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
