Ration shops raided

PUDUKOTTAI: In a raid on fair price shops in parts of the district, irregularities such as under-stock of essential commodities, shortage of non-control commodities, bogus billing and unaccounted receipts were detected. A release issued here on Thursday said that the officials of three teams of flying squad conducted the raid on 39 fair price shops and found irregularities amounting to Rs. 6,784.
