Young World painting contest postponed

CHENNAI: The finals of The Hindu Young World on-the-spot painting competition for juniors (classes IV to VII) and seniors (classes VIII to X), scheduled to be held on Sunday, November 30, at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan, 29, Alagirisamy Salai, K.K. Nagar, has been postponed owing to inclement weather and water logging in several parts of the city. The event will be held on December 7 at the same venue from 9 a.m. Candidates who were selected in the preliminary round have been sent letters individually. Participants should reach the venue at least 30 minutes before the start of the competition, and should bring along with them the letter and the painting material.

Prizes will be distributed to the winners on the same afternoon. Apart from the first, second and third places, there are 10 consolation prizes to be won.
