Fake CBI officer held

HYDERABAD: The police on Friday arrested Mohd. Abdul Jabbar (58) on charge of duping a person of Rs. 1.75 lakh by promising a seat in a medical college for the latter’s daughter claiming himself as CBI officer. Originally from Guntur district, Jabbar used to live at New Mallepally in Hyderabad. Posing as Joint Director of CBI, New Delhi, he promised to get a medical seat for the daughter of one Mohd. Ibrahim in Deccan Medical College and collected Rs.1.75 lakh from him.
