Sarabjit’s sister fails to meet Qureshi

NEW DELHI: The sister of Sarabjit Singh, who is facing the gallows in Pakistan, waited for almost an hour to meet the visiting Pakistan Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, while he was at a press conference at the Indian Women’s Press Corps here on Friday. However, she was not allowed by security personnel to enter the premises.

According to an agency, after a joint press conference earlier with External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee here, Mr. Qureshi told journalists that Pakistan had taken steps to address the issue. “Hopefully something positive will come out of it,” Mr. Qureshi is reported to have said.
