Water released

TALAVASAL: Following heavy inflow, water from the Vellar reservoir across Vashishta River, near here, was released for irrigation in the districts of Salem, Villupuram and Cuddalore on Friday. Nearly 25 tanks would benefit from its opening, said PWD officials.
