Four persons killed in Tripura ambush

Agartala: Four persons, including three Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, were ambushed by National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) militants at remote Jalabasti in Dhalai district of Tripura on Saturday .

A group of NLFT ultras who were hiding in a jungle sprayed bullets on a group of road construction workers who were being escorted by BSF personnel to their project site, police said.

While three BSF personnel died on the spot, two others, including a construction worker, sustained bullet injuries. The worker died on way to the hospital. — PTI
