Collector releases ‘Karadeepika’, a guide containing study material for the SSC students

District Common Examination Board compiled the guide for the benefit of students


ADILABAD: Adilabad Collector Ahmad Nadeem on Saturday exhorted school head masters to give special attention towards improving performance of students in the next SSC exams. He said those schools that get 100 per cent pass result in SSC will be given incentives.

Releasing ‘Karadeepika’, a guide containing study material for the SSC students here at a meeting of head masters here, the Collector asked the school heads to categorise students in respective SSC batches based on the quarterly exam results. He said categorisation would facilitate special attention on students as per their grasping power.

Mr. Nadeem warned of absenteeism on the part of teachers and head masters. He said any kind of negligence would not be tolerated.

The Karadeepika was compiled by the District Common Examination Board for the benefit of students. The exercise was launched following last year’s dismal performance of Adilabad students in SSC 2007 exam. The Integrated Tribal development Agency (ITDA), Utnoor will distribute copies of the guide among its students while other schools will get only two copies each.

ITDA Project Officer K. Ilambarithi and District Educational Officer K. Jayachandra Kumar were present.
