Two killed in accident

VILLUPURAM: Two persons travelling on a two-wheeler were killed in a road accident at Uppili near Mayilam on Sunday.

According to the police, S. Venkatesan (23) of Uppili had given a ‘lift’ to G. Appavu (53) and his wife Anjalatchi (47) of Keezhpattu to Agur. A tempo carrying eggs hit the two-wheeler, killing Venkatesan and Appavu on the spot.

Anjalatchi was referred to JIPMER Hospital, Puducherry, with injuries.
