The land at Kokapet in Rajendranagar has been taken up as a sector specific SEZ dedicated to IT and ITES by the HMDA and IT&CD and the same has already been notified by the Board of Approval, Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Now, an additional 30-acre plot that is contiguous to the already notified area is proposed for development for non-processing purpose and towards this end, the HMDA has invited expression of interest for the SEZ infrastructure facilities. The co-developer is also sought for faster development of the Kokapet SEZ and also to undertake its operation and maintenance. Developers with experience in development, operations and maintenance of similar projects have been invited and the last date for submission of the expression of interest is December 22. The developers invited should have been in the development of similar projects of IT/IT SEZ of minimum 50 acres of single project in the last 10 years. The selection of the developer will be through competitive bidding process and those satisfying the qualification criteria are to be issued the RPF which entails two-stage selection process—technical proposals and financial offer, according to the HMDA. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
