Ram Gopal’s visit sparks controversy

MUMBAI: A controversy broke out on Sunday over Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh being accompanied by film maker Ram Gopal Varma and his actor-son Riteish during his visit to luxury Taj Mahal and Trident-Oberoi luxury hotels.

As eyebrows were raised about two members from the film industry being in the Chief Minister’s team, Mr. Varma said he saw nothing wrong since he happened to be with Mr. Riteish when Mr. Deshmukh came to the Taj

“I just walked along with him [Riteish]. I have no intention of making a film. Neither do I know Vilasrao Deshmukh,” Mr. Varma said.
