Rajat bats well

Bangalore: Rajat Paliwal’s unbeaten 84 helped Haryana score 293 against Bengal in a Cooch Behar Trophy Elite Group ‘C’ under-19 match in progress here on Sunday.

At close on the third day, Bengal scored 70 for two in 35 overs.

Washed out

In Chennai, the third day’s play in both the matches — Tamil Nadu-Saurashtra and Baroda-Uttar Pradesh — were called off due to wet ground conditions.

The scores: Haryana 293 in 116.4 overs (Rajat Paliwal 84 n.o., Manoj Chamdila 48, Mukul Dagar 42, Prateek Sribastav six for 77) vs Bengal 70 for two in 35 overs (Abhishek Das 41 n.o.).

Himachal Pradesh 167 in 79.3 overs (Rishi Dhawan 63, Shivraj Deshmukh five for 40) vs Mumbai 114 for four in 38 overs.
