SAI scholarship presented

Collector B. Venkatesham gives away the SAI scholarship cheque to a sportswoman in Guntur on Monday. District Sports Development Officer P. Rama Krishna is also seen. –

GUNTUR: Five sportspersons who have shown commendable performance at the national and inter-university tournaments have been awarded scholarships from the Sports Authority of India. District Collector B. Venkatesham on Monday handed over the scholarships ranging from Rs.8,400 to Rs.10, 200 to the five sportspersons. District Sports Development Officer P. Ramakrishna was present.

The five sportspersons were, Sk. Nurjahan Begum (athletics), D. Bharath Reddy (athletics), P. Asha Mary (athletics), J. Geetha Charisma (soft ball) and M. Naveen Babu (soft ball). Athletics coach Rama Sundari was present.
