Boy washed away

Tiruvannamalai: A boy who stepped into the Kamandala Naga Nadhi near Arni on Sunday was washed away.

According to officials at the Collectorate, Lokesh (13), son of Babu of Arni Palayam, had gone to Pudukamur to see the river in spate. He was washed away when he playfully entered the water.

Arumugam (55) of T. Valavetti near Tiruvannamalai was also suspected to have been washed away in a local river, the officials said.
