Water level

MADURAI: The water level in the Periyar dam on Monday stood at 119.90 feet (full level 136 feet) with an inflow of 856 cusecs and a discharge of 1,073 cusecs. The level in the Vaigai dam was 65.58 feet (71 feet) with an inflow of 1,332 cusecs and a discharge of 41 cusecs. The combined Periyar credit stood at 4,103 mcft.

Periyar Dam recorded a rainfall of 2 mm, Tekkadi - 4 mm, Gudalur - 1mm, Shanmuganadi - 10 mm, Uthamapalayam - 4 mm, Veerapandi - 2 mm, Vaigai dam - 6 mm, Manjalar dam - 3 mm, Marudanathi - 7 mm, Sothuparai - 12.5 mm, and Peranai - 1.4 mm.
