Stir for harbours at Colachel

Nagercoil: INTUC activists staged a demonstration in front of the collectorate here on Monday to urge the Government to find out an early solution to their charter of demands, including the distribution of uninterrupted power supply, expedite the construction of the commercial harbour at Colachel and the fishing harbour at Thengapattinam, carry out at maintenance work on both National Highway and rural roads damaged by the rain and stringent action against those who supported the banned LTTE outfit in the State, etc.

The president of Kanyakumari district council, Pon.Vijayaraghavan, led the agitation.
