Churchill posts win

KOLKATA: An own goal by East Bengal defender Mehrajuddin Wadoo helped Churchill Brothers post a 2-1 win in their 11th round match of the I-League on Monday.

Earlier, it was an own goal by Churchill’s Chandam Chitrasen that helped East Bengal take the lead in the second minute. However, Ogba Kalu equalised for the visitor in the first session.

East Bengal, with its third successive loss, remained in the seventh spot with 12 points. Churchill was third with 20 from 11 outings.
