South Africa regains No. 2 spot

Dubai: Riding on its comprehensive two-Test win over Bangladesh, South Africa toppled India and regained the second position in the latest ICC Test ranking released here on Monday.

Lagging behind by just a fraction of a ratings point before the series began, the South Africans always had the chance to take back the No. 2 spot that India had snatched from them by beating Australia 2-0 in the four-Test series.

However, India has chance to reclaim its lost ground if it wins the upcoming two-Test series against England. — PTI
