Five held

ATTUR: The police have arrested five persons on the charges of killing a farmer at Thammapatti recently. The police said that unidentified persons assaulted Arjunan (55) of Seeliyampatti village and stole seven sovereigns of jewellery from his house two months ago. The farmer sustained injuries and was admitted to a hospital, where he died. The arrested were: Arumugam (40), Mani (35), Murugan (42), Vignesh (30) and Ooty alias Arumugam (45). Thammampatti police have registered a case in this connection.
