Special buses for Karthigai Deepam

Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation will run the buses from December 10 to 13

ERODE: Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, Erode, will, as part of the ensuing Karthigai Deepam, run special buses to Appachimarmadam, Palani and Tiruvannamalai, says a release from the Corporation.

The Corporation will run the buses from December 10 to 13 from Erode, Tirupur, Gobichettipalayam, Sathyamangalam, Perundurai, Kangayam and Dharapuram, the release adds.

TNEB bill payment

Residents of Madeswara Nagar, Chennimalai West, Rasa Kovil, Kavundachi Palayam, R.K. Valasu and Madathuppalayam in Chennimalai, Vellode and Perundurai areas shall pay the October bill for November, as it has not been able to bill power consumption in the areas, says a release from the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board.

The power consumers shall pay the bill before December 15, failing which the Board will sever power connection, the release adds.

World AIDS Day celebrated

Pasumai Ulagam, an NGO, celebrated World AIDS Day by conducting a programme at the Erode Bus Stand, says a press release from the organisation.

Members of the organisation along with autorickshaw drivers and other participants lit candles and vowed to wipe out the disease.

Pasumai Ulagam organiser D. Velayudha, president G. Manamohan, Treasurer Revathy, Chartered Accountant Senthil Kumar and others participated.
