SALEM: Collector J. Chandrakumar has warned officials who show indifference and remain inactive towards the people’s grievances. The Collector while participating at the public grievances day meeting here on Monday told the officials that action should be initiated on all petitions received from the public. He told them that he would review the progress of all these petitions every week. Mr. Chandrakumar said that no official should keep pending more than 50 grievances petitions, which he insisted should be registered in computers. Hereafter the review meeting on these petitions and the action taken by officials would be held every week he said and asked the officials to be pro-active.
