Police begin probe into woman’s death in Erode

ERODE: Karungalpalayam Police have began the probe into the death of S. Sujatha, wife of Sreenivasan, a Government employee. Sujatha was found murdered on Monday evening.

When her daughter Soundarya, 12, and Mr. Sreenivasan returned home, she was found lying in a pool of blood with the domestic grinding stone beside her.

On information, Superintendent of Police Avinash Kumar along with Deputy Superintendent of Police N. Dhanapal rushed to the spot.

A sniffer dog was also pressed into service.

Phones stolen

Unidentified persons gained entry into a mobile phone shop in Gobichettipalayam and decamped with mobile phones. Further investigations are on.
