Bangalore: Almost 50 per cent of the Chandrayaan-I mission consisted of microwave subsystems. Despite the tremendous scope in microwaves and its ubiquitous use in our daily life, there is little infrastructure and professionals devoted to it, said U.K Revankar, director of Defence Avionics Research Establishment to presspersons here on Tuesday. The International Symposium on Microwaves (ISM-08), to be held from December 3 to 6, will highlight the potentials in the field through tutorials, talks and presentation of research papers. — Staff Reporter © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
