Thiruvananthapuram: A high-level committee has been constituted for coordinating the functioning of the departments which control land owned by the government of Kerala outside the State.

The committee has been set up as per the recommendations in the 16th report of the Estimates Committee (2004-06).

The Estimates Committee had in the report recommended surveying of such land by the departments concerned under the supervision of the Revenue Department and initiation of steps to get their ownership.
