UNSCHEDULED VISIT: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh with Republican Senator John McCain in New Delhi on Tuesday. The two discussed the Mumbai terror attacks and other issues related to it. The Republican Party leader, however, opposed India launching military strikes against Pakistan, saying there was “no hard evidence yet” for such action. Mr. McCain was on his way to Bangladesh and Bhutan.
