Reacting to the ‘Public Eye’ of November 19 on shrinking playgrounds, V.A.P. Naik of Kodical said that instead of addressing the problem of lack of sports infrastructure in the country, we are celebrating the medals won in the Olympic Games. “The Government should take measures to encourage physical training in all schools ,” he said adding that the shrinking space had resulted in very few being selected for the defence and paramilitary forces.

N. Prakash of Konchady wrote that sport helps children to learn how to take ‘failures and success’ in life.
