Mandeep is the fastest woman

CHENNAI: Mandeep Kaur of ONGC won the women’s 100m title in the PSPB inter-unit athletics meet, here on Tuesday. Over 130 athletes from 10 petroleum organisations are participating in the five-day event.

The participating teams include IOL, ONGC, HPCL, EIL, BRPL, GAIL, Numaligarh Refineries Limited (NRL), Oil India Limited (OIL), IOC- Assam Oil Division (AOD) and CPCL.

The results: Men: 1,500m: 1. Ghamanda Ram (ONGC), 2. Chandrakant Manwardkar (IOC), 3. Pritam Bind (ONGC).

Women: 100m: 1. Mandeep Kaur (ONGC) 13.0s, 2. Chitra K. Soman (ONGC) 13.6s, 3. B. Kumsing (BRPL) 15.4s; Long jump: 1. Chitra K. Soman (ONGC), 2. Mandeep Kaur (ONGC), 3. B. Kumsing (BRPL). — Sports Reporter
