BSNL workers’ plea

MALAPPURAM: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) workers, under the banner of the National Federation of Telecom Employees (NFTE), have demanded an end to the inordinate delay in issuing broadband connections.

The waitlist for broadband connections under Manjeri and Tirur sections of BSNL was getting longer, they said. This would cause harm to the image of the company, they said here. Congress leader Mangalam Gopinath inaugurated an employees’ dharna in front of the General Manager’s office here. Mr. Gopinath demanded that BSNL should expand its mobile coverage in the district.
