Two wall-collapse victims donate eyes

CUDDALORE: Two pairs of eyes of victims of a wall collapse at Kullanchavadi in Kurinjipadi block near here were harvested with the consent of the relatives on Wednesday.

The eyes were harvested within four hours of the death. When Mangalakshmi (55) and her son Kathiresan (37), a farm worker, were in their house at Muthiyalpettai in Anukkampattu village, Kurinjipadi block, the walls collapsed about 1.30 p.m.
