Indian wrestlers win seven medals

NEW DELHI: Indian wrestlers bagged seven medals, including two gold, at the 34th Delgance Henri Challenge international tournament in Nice, France.

Yogeshwar Dutt and Palwinder Singh Cheema won gold medals in the freestyle category. Indians also won one silver and two bronze in this category to finish second behind Canada, which won six medals.

India managed two bronze medals in Greco-Roman category and was fifth in the overall standing. The USA got five medals to emerge champion.

The India medal winners: Freestyle: 55kg: Vinod Kumar (silver), 60 kg: Yogeshwar Dutt (gold), 66 kg: Amit (bronze), 96 kg: Surender Kumar Deswal (bronze), 120 kg: Palwinder Singh Cheema (gold). Greco-Roman: 84 kg: Kulwant Rai (bronze), 120 kg: Dharmender Dalal (bronze).
