NEW DELHI: A team of the Anti-Terrorist Squad of the Mumbai police is here in the Capital to ascertain from where and how some of the SIM cards used by the terrorists during last week’s attacks in Mumbai were procured. The police have zeroed in on the outlet from where the SIM cards had been purchased on the basis of forged documents. They have also verified the antecedents of those in whose names the cards had been purportedly issued, and found nothing on them. While there were reports about an ATS team investigating the matter, the Delhi police denied having any such information saying they were not involved in the investigations. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
