Organ harvesting

CHENNAI: A meeting was conducted by the Social Welfare Board with representatives from private hospitals and the medical fraternity to discuss harvesting organs of brain dead patients.

The Board requested the hospitals to abide by the rules and work with an intent to serve society. Any recommendations to modify the regulations could be brought to the notice of the Board, according to a press release. — Staff Reporter
