RINL CMD calls for self-reliance

VISAKHAPATNAM: Chairman and Managing Director of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited P.K. Bishnoi has asked the staff and executives to work on initiatives for development of fabricated and major revamp of existing equipment instead of depending on overseas suppliers.

Underlining the need for achieving self-reliance in all spheres, he told a meeting of the annual recognition function of quality circles, Srujan Vikas and 55 on Wednesday evening that the RINL workforce had the capacity to face the challenge.

He also complimented the winners of various national and international competitions held on quality circles.

Visakhapatnam Steel Plant has won the QCFI-NMDC national award for organisational efforts in promoting quality circles and received a merit certificate in CII-55 award for excellence for its rolling mills and many team awards at national level and international convention held at Dhaka a couple of months ago.
