Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Congress (Mani) on Thursday alleged that the LDF government was issuing threats to its party leaders that it was in the process of filing a case against former Revenue Minister K.M. Mani. Addressing a press conference here, Kerala Congress (M) chairman C.F. Thomas and party MLA Thomas Chazhikadan said the Law and Parliament Affairs Minister M. Vijay Kumar’s statement that the government was processing a case against Mr. Mani was a clear indication that a conspiracy was on to frame him. The Kerala Congress (M) would not be cowed by such threats. The Minister was also trying to divert public attention from the snub he got from the High Court regarding the tenders relating to the Vizhinjam port. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
